Geopolitical turbulence and uncertainty, exemplified by the current tensions in Ukraine-U.S. relations, NATO and the EU’s unwillingness to provide a security “umbrella” for our state, and the unwavering military-political objectives of the Russian Federation, have intensified the urgency of ensuring an adequate level of national security and defense for Ukraine. The state’s ability to repel Russian aggression and respond to other external threats remains a top priority for Ukraine’s military-political leadership.
The Ukrainian Institute for the Future (UIF), together with the Ukrainian Council of Defense Industry, is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the future of the defense-industrial complex (DIC) as both a cornerstone of our national security and a driving force for the country’s economy. We have conducted an analysis of Ukraine’s DIC activities and its development in 2024 and present our vision for the industry’s prospects through 2030.
Our research findings on the processes of equipping Ukraine’s Defense Forces with weaponry and military technology within the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war have enabled us to develop comprehensive recommendations for government institutions. Implementing the conclusions and recommendations from this research is expected to contribute to effective state management in the defense-industrial complex, shaping and adjusting state policy, and guiding strategic planning for the industry’s development.
We invite you to explore UIF’s vision of the priorities, objectives, and prospects for Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex over the next five years in the electronic version of the key industry study: “RESULTS OF ACTIVITIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE’S DEFENSE-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN 2024. PROSPECTS AND FURTHER STEPS FOR THE FUTURE.”
