The Jury in Ukraine: will the tradition of the People’s Court return (video)

In the think tank Ukrainian Institute for the Future were held the expert debates on the current state and future of jury trial in Ukraine.

According to Tetyana Yushchenko, the Expert of the Program for Reforming the Law Enforcement and Judicial Systems, the practice of jury trial took place on the territories of modern Ukraine in ancient times.

“Legislative culture should be reformed along with other directions: Ukrainians’ conscious position will ensure the fact that Ukraine becomes a rule-of-law state,” – Yushchenko said.
