The first international flight was made from Poltava airport. It departed to the Egyptian Sharm El-Sheikh.
“The first international flight of the new Ukrainian airline SkyUp departed from Poltava airport. The airport has not been operating for more than 15 years… Now it is fully functioning”, – wrote the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.
“But he has nothing to do with it. It is the regional municipal enterprise. I am glad that the region found the money and allocated it to launch this airport. I am not happy that this happened with a big delay, because this flight should have happened a year ago,” said Volodymyr Shulmeister, Director of the UIF Infrastructure programme.
