ONE HUNDRED DAYS FOR THE PRESIDENT – WHAT THE NEW HEAD OF STATE NEEDS TO DO?

Administration

The first hundred days for any president is a period during which he solves several key tasks:

1. He forms his own president’s entourage, demonstrating the implementation of his approaches to personnel policy.

2. He provides governance of the country. New (or old) staff should demonstrate the ability to work in the system of relations that were inherited, as well as the ability to change it, proceeding from the agenda for action of the new president.

3. Ideally (not everyone manages to do it) he takes a number of resolutions aimed at achieving rapid success (often partial) in key areas that have been declared during the election campaign.

These three points are relevant for both Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky in case of their election. We can add specifics of the Ukrainian realia to this list…
