“YOU WANT ALL OF US ALL OUT?” AND OTHER REACTIONS OF EDUCATIONALISTS TO THE CHANGES IN UNIVERSITIES

Rectors and heads of universities are a separate caste, which feels certain “immunity”. Including the political one. They respond poorly to public demands for change. But such readiness is demonstrated by individual teachers, departments, private universities.

This was told by the expert of the programme “Education” of UIF Мykola Skyba while summarizing the results of meetings with representatives of the universities` community after the presentation of the report “The Future of Ukrainian Universities”, which took place in December 2018 at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.

Three meetings were held in Khmelnitsky, Lviv (Ukrainian Catholic University) and Kiev (Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University).
