We present another material from our cycle #international politics for dummies where we explain complex international processes in simple words
On December 12, late at night, a large part of the British population was glued to television screens, watching an event that could change their future. MPs called for a vote of no confidence in the government. The results came back last night. Prime Minister Theresa May successfully survived the vote and her opponents failed. The majority of deputies did not support the vote of no confidence. Some breathed a sigh of relief – the head of government remains in office, which means there will be no early elections. And someone shook his head irritably – there will be no change of power, and therefore no changes for the better.
This event was one of many in the series of extraordinary dramatic processes that have now taken over Britain.
