STRATEGY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – THE USA CASE

Countries that once became pioneers in the development of such a strategy are now on top of the list of economically advanced countries. I will briefly consider the US case as a good example of how and why it did work.

The US course on innovations has been introduced since the 60s. Among the 30 key points of the strategy there were the following:

Using legal software at the Federal level.

Increased transparency.

Engaging with copyright holders.

Monitoring of reporting.

Coordination between federal, state and law enforcement agencies.
