The situation with the disappearance and murder of journalist Jamal Kalkaji the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul will not critically affect the business, especially in US-Saudi relations.

The only consequence is the loss of Saudi Arabia’s investment reputation, which they are now trying to build and improve as part of the reform program of the hereditary Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

Now the country is experiencing a fiscal crisis and needs to fill the budget. To do this, they must open the country and attract foreign investment, because investors fear Saudi Arabia as they have the image of a closed country, ultra-conservative with some medieval traditions.
