WHO PREVENTS “UKRZALIZNYTSIA” FROM DEVELOPING AND WHY?

The ban on raising freight rates without the consent of business circles is an authoritarian way of management that has nothing to do with the economy.

This opinion was expressed by the Head of the programme “Infrastructure” of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future Volodymyr Shulmeister when he was commenting on the statement of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman that Ukrzaliznytsia will not raise tariffs for cargo transportation without the consent of business circles.

“During the times of socialism, the economy was unprofitable. Today, the company that gives services or sells products below cost price can be compared to rubbing sandpaper against rubber – it will be quickly wiped off the map.
