PARKING IN A NEW WAY: WHEN WILL THE INNOVATIONS START WORKING?

On September 27, the law № 2262 “On amendments to certain legal acts related to the reforming the sphere of parking of transport vehicles” came into force.

The law establishes such global innovations:

1. The system of cameras that will automatically capture certain traffic offences (e.g. speeding, running a red light, etc.).
2. Accountability measures for violation of the rules of stopping, parking can be enforced with help of photo and video equipment that is protected from outside interference. In other words, the police or the parking inspector will not have to wait when the driver will show up to give a traffic ticket but instead can capture the violations using the equipment.
3. The creating of a new special post in the cities – parking inspector that will be able to hold careless drivers accountable and initiate the evacuation of their cars.
