The sharp increase of import of Belarusian cement is a problem for Ukrainian manufacturers for two years already. Let me remind you that while having its own capacities that cover the needs of the domestic market, Ukraine is increasing the import from the Republic of Belarus from year to year. Attempts of some politicians and the Ukrcement Association to protect the market have not yielded results yet. Or, to be more precise, they have led to the fact that Belarusian manufacturers have mastered the higher value-added supplies – cement products, and this has already created a problem for, for example, Ukrainian manufacturers of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks.
