TO TEACH AND TO LEARN. THE OPENNESS OF TEACHERS TO CHANGE EXCEEDS THEIR LOYALTY TO THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

In May at the initiative of EdCamp Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a study of the system of further training and certification of teachers called “To teach and to learn” was launched. The aim is to find out what kind of knowledge and skills do Ukrainian teachers need; what prevents teachers from growing professionally; what criteria should organizations that offer pedagogical training meet; is transparent and effective certification in education possible? The online questionnaire contained 75 questions, 8427 teachers from all regions of Ukraine gave their answers.

Ukrainian Institute for the Future was a media partner of this study and is going to engage analytically in the processing of the results.

The main conclusion: most teachers are open to change. 77% of respondents agreed with this fully or partially.
