Saakashvili factor, battle with National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and new problems in Ukrainian democracy

The most discussed news of this morning was the searches at Mikhail Saakashvili and the “removal from the roof” of the former Georgian President. However, this is not the only informational reason – there is published a statement of the US State Department, where in rather harsh terms there is described the policy of the authorities of the country aimed at undermining independent anti-corruption bodies. There are also quoted the words of Mr. Tillerson: “It serves no purpose for Ukraine to fight for its body in Donbas if it loses its soul to corruption”. At first glance, these are not related events, but they have one root and are part of one sequence of misguided decisions.”
