Mechanism of accreditation of educational programs as a test for the New Ukrainian School’s future

The introduction of the concept of the New Ukrainian School involves a change in approaches to both teaching and evaluation of the education quality. According to the new Law “On Education”, this issue should be managed by the State Educational Quality Service (SEQS), which is now being created through the reorganization of the State Inspection of Educational Institutions of Ukraine. Last week, the Ministry of Education and Science submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers a draft resolution on the establishment of an appropriate state authority. The accreditation of educational programs (in case they differ from the typical or developed on the basis of typical ones) will belong, in particular, to the powers of the SEQS.
