Russia has two scenarios for Donbas in 2018: good and better

As I wrote already, the situation is moving towards the peacekeeping mission, and with a high probability the decision on this mission will be taken before the New Year. But for Ukraine this is bad news, although there cannot be better. And here is why.

For Russia, there are such scenarios regarding Donbas: good and better.

A good scenario – is to return Donbas without any conditions.

The better scenario – is a peacekeeping operation. Actually, most of the positions are repeated, namely, participation in the presidential and parliamentary elections, the burden of social payments on the budget of Ukraine. However, we do not receive any territory, since it is under the control of peacekeepers, and will be under this control for more than one year.
