UIF debates

The debates are organized in accordance with the best international practice of holding discussion forums in the style of the Oxford Club. To discuss the topic of the debate, two panels of speakers are formed, speaking for and against the proposed thesis. During the first part of the debate, speakers from the two panels take turns presenting key arguments in support of their position. This is followed by a question-and-answer session, during which the audience has the opportunity to ask questions and comment on the speakers' presentations. Before and after the debate, the audience votes on the proposed topic, which allows us to assess how convincing the arguments of one side or the other were during the debate.

Leading Ukrainian and international experts, politicians, business representatives and NGOs are invited as speakers. The audience consists of representatives of the government, business, expert community, independent organizations and the media and includes 50 people. The debate is moderated by a leading Ukrainian journalist with experience in hosting television talk shows and high-level public events.
