Last week has become a real trial for Germany. Negotiations on the formation of a new coalition government reached their culmination. The FRG internal political front has been “roughed” for several days in a row. While world leaders were preparing to participate in the annual Munich Security Conference, which would start on February 16, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was desperately searching for ways out of the political crisis that the country found itself in the course of coalition negotiations. The absence of a compromise and the uncertainty in the dialogue between Christian Democrats Merkel and the Social Democrats Martin Schultz delayed the process of government formation. And yesterday’s resignation of Schulz has completely blurred the prospects for a stable coalition in the Bundestag.
