The concept of pedagogical education: how to prepare a teacher capable to awake a thirst for knowledge?

One of the bases of the New Ukrainian School is a motivated and qualified teacher. The creation of a new model of pedagogical education is a definite turning point in the restart of the process of teachers’ training, which can lead to the movement in several possible, sometimes cardinally opposite directions. On March 12^th at the M. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University there was held a professional discussion of the draft Concept for the development of pedagogical education with the participation of the Minister of Education Liliya Grynevych, the Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, the President of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Vasyl Kremen, the rectors of a number of universities and directors of schools.
