On June 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ukrainian Institute for the Future will be held an international discussion on “Challenges to Freedom: International Experience and Russian Occupation.”

Participants:

Josef Zissels – Member of the December 1st Initiative Group, chairman of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations of Ukraine (Vaad of Ukraine)

Maria Mytsio, American journalist, former Director of the USAID Media Protection Program in Ukraine

Anton Gerashchenko – People’s Deputy, co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future

Moderator:

Taras Berezovets – co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, Director of the National Security and Defense Program.

Topics for discussion:

Can the government limit freedom of speech and human rights in times of war? What are the boundaries of such limitations? What does international practice say?
