As at 18:00, December 7, ALL commercial vessels that are heading to ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk were allowed to go through the Kerch Strait. There were 10 ships in general, 5 headed to the Mariupol and 5 to Berdyansk. It is worth to mention the downtime of these vessels – from 24 hours to 12 days. As a result, there are no vessels on inspection in the Kerch Strait. It is the for the first time in the last six months since the beginning of the conflict in the Sea of Azov.

Irakliy Jhanashiya, the expert on national security and defence of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.
