WHY DID LUKASHENKO MEET WITH MEDVEDCHUK?

Yesterday, on January 14, Alexander Lukashenko was seeing Viktor Medvedchuk in Minsk. The Ukrainian politician, who is the Putin`s compadre, is associated with the changes of policy of several news channels. Poroshenko openly stated that he is de facto the representative of Putin.

The official narrative – politicians met to talk about the conflict in Ukraine. What is behind this meeting at the end of the day? Lukashenko understands that the “Belarusian issue” may become the next one for the Kremlin after the “Ukrainian” one. Therefore, Minsk will continue to test the waters, meet with different forces, and closely monitor the events in Kiev. And something tells me that Medvedchuk is not the last Ukrainian politician Lukashenko will try to talk to.
