Moldovan politicians have not yet come out of the New Year’s “hibernation” despite the fact that the election campaign has already started. During the second week of the new year the parties decided on their candidates in the single-mandate districts, and Ilan Shor, who is accused of bank frauds, managed to register his party to participate in the elections. Meanwhile, Moldovan exporters are facing problems because of Russian sanctions, and President Dodon is trying to demonstrate that he can resolve disputes with Russia.
