Liquidation of strategic military airfield “Shkilʹnyy” in Odessa happened due to the mysterious losing of deeds of ownership on this land plot by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and also due to the desires of local authorities to put up buildings on the airport territory. Read about this in the comment to the online media UA.News made by the Irakliy Jhanashiya, the expert on national security and defence of the UIF.

Irakliy Jhanashiya emphasized that dissolution of such airfield will leave Odessa without air, land and sea protection from the aggressor`s attack from the South. The analyst noted that in order to return the expropriated section of the airfield “Shkilʹnyy”, we need a strong political will and interest of officials, in particular, the President of Ukraine. At the same time, the expert stated the impotence of the head of state in the situation that exists at present.
